As the 2012 1st XV season beckons in NZ secondary schools' rugby, the Silverstream rugby fraternity is gearing up to meet the challenges of the season. The team is likely to have a relatively youthful look about it with an immense amount of talent in the college that is sure to bring out the best in all players & competition for positions.
The 2012 side is to be coached by Mr Robert Ackerman, the ex Welsh and British Lions (1983) mid fielder and Mr Wayne Guppy(S68-72), the Mayor of Upper Hutt .
These coaches will have three home pre-season fixtures in which to prepare their side for the Premier 1 competition starting on Sat 5th May and the traditional season, starting on Wed 16th May with a home fixture against New Plymouth Boys High School. It would be great to have a large crowd of Old Boys present to support the team in this important annual fixture.
The team is proud to acknowledge the outstanding support of their primary sponsor for 2012, Elite Electrical Ltd. Mike Schrijvers & the team at Elite Electrical Ltd have accumulated many years of expertise and knowledge in all aspects of industrial, commercial & domestic fields. Keen supporters of Stream’s 1st XV, they are offering prompt personal service with a 10% discount when you mention this ad or your support of Silverstream rugby. Contact Mike on 027 2263934.
